​Savannah Informatics is seeking candidates for the role of a Digital Health Community Manager for an anticipated (5) five-year, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded digital health project

About the Project

​

The project’s main objectives are strengthening digital health governance, enhancing interoperability and expansion of existing health information systems in support of UHC and enhancing strategic partnerships. The program will build on and strengthen local capacity in digital health technologies’ adoption to promote the use of an integrated and comprehensive digital health ecosystem, lead systems evolution management, and sustain health system outcomes of equity, quality, and resource optimization with broad-based partners from the private sector, technology firms and academia.

About the Role

 

​As a Digital Health Analyst, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of healthcare by analyzing data, trends, and user behavior to drive insights that improve our digital health solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate healthcare outcomes, optimize system performance, and provide data-driven insights to enhance both internal processes and customer-facing solutions.

This role emphasizes developing and implementing standardized data exchange protocols, with a particular focus on integrating e-claims systems and addressing priority areas identified by the Ministry of Health and the Kenya Digital Health Agency. Additionally, you will enhance the national health data ecosystem by developing county-level data lakes that feed into a centralized data warehouse. This includes adhering to the Data Protection Act 2019 and aligning all efforts with Kenya’s digital health strategies.

Your ability to combine healthcare knowledge with strong analytical skills will be vital in driving innovations and ensuring that our digital health solutions meet the highest standards of efficacy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

​​

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret healthcare data from multiple sources to provide actionable insights.

  • Support the development, testing, and deployment of digital health solutions by analyzing trends, user data, and performance metrics.

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and clinicians to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and evaluate the success of healthcare technology projects.

  • Identify areas of improvement in healthcare processes and workflows through data analysis and provide recommendations for optimizing system performance.

  • Generate detailed reports and dashboards that communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Monitor healthcare industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements to ensure that our products stay compliant and competitive.

  • Support user research efforts, including surveys, interviews, and focus groups, to gather feedback on digital health tools and platforms.

  • Assist in the design and implementation of data models that support healthcare analytics and decision-making processes.

  • Stay informed of new tools and methodologies in data analytics, health informatics, and healthcare technology, bringing relevant innovations to the team.

​Qualifications

​

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Public Health, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  •  Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university

  • Proven experience in data analysis, with a focus on healthcare, digital health, or technology solutions.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems, workflows, and the challenges faced by healthcare providers.

  • Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Excel, SQL, R, Python, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

  • Experience working with health data standards, including HL7, FHIR, and ICD-10, is a plus.

  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, data privacy (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and the ethics of health data usage.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with complex datasets to generate clear and actionable insights.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into non-technical language.

  • Analytical mindset with a passion for improving healthcare outcomes through data-driven approaches.

  • Experience in the East African health sector or with e-Health solutions is highly desirable.
