About this event

Welcome to the HealthCloud hackathon, where innovative minds come together to tackle real-world problems and create groundbreaking solutions.

Challenge

For a long period of time, one of the most prevalent challenges in health insurance has been the deficiency in verifying the authenticity of insured members at the point of service. This has led to a lot of hard-to-catch fraudulent usage of medical covers hence revenue losses for insurers and straining trust between insurers and insured members.

To tackle this problem, Slade has created a system aimed at streamlining the patient identification and verification process.

The APIs supporting this system have been opened for public use on our HealthCloud platform.

Expected solution

Using the public HealthCloud API, develop a simple application to be used to identify and verify insured members for the

purpose of service delivery.

Participants Eligibility

  • Students of all genders above the age of 18 doing an IT or computer science-related course.

  • Participants should demonstrate familiarity working with APIs.

  • The participants should be able to physically avail themselves to the venue on the day of the hackathon.

Team Formation

  • 2-4 people in a team.

  • Each team should have at least one front-end developer.

  • A team can submit only one entry for the hackathon. Participation at the hackathon is subjected on a “per-team” basis meaning you are not allowed to be on more than one team at the event.
